Meet Team TLC, Get to know our staff!
Courtney joined the TLC Nursing team in 2012 as the Home Care Schedule Coordinator. She quickly took on more responsibility and became the Scheduling Supervisor, and has now advanced into the Manager of Operations roll. Having previously worked at Lowes Home Improvement for 4 years, she brings great multi-tasking, management and scheduling experience to the team.
Prior to her time at TLC, she never worked in the elder care field before so she wasn’t sure what to expect, but she truly enjoys working in a profession that helps others and the daily challenges and rewards that it brings. Since starting at TLC, she has began to feel that it is incredibly important to do all she can to keep elders in their home so they can keep as much independence and familiarity as possible in their life.
Born and raised in St. Albans, Vermont, Courtney enjoys riding horses and giving horse ride tours in Jeffersonville Vt. She can be found spending time with her husband, Dustin, and Seven- Year old step son, Hunter. Lastly, she spends every day with her 7 year old Yellow Lab, Harley, who is a regular in the TLC office.
Pam has been working for TLC Nursing since 2013 and started working as an administrative assistant at the front desk. She was able to transition seamlessly into the Human Resource Manager, where she currently recruits qualified care givers and LNA’s as well as nurses for our partnering facilities. Pam brings 2 years of excellent experience as she worked at the Shelburne Bay Senior Living Facility where she was the concierge and taught senior fitness classes. Working with the senior population is something that runs in her family and she was able to gain insight regarding the demographic she wanted to work with through her time at Shelburne Bay. She believes that the aging population has a lot to offer the community and working for TLC allows her to support the needs of this population as well as the community as a whole.
Jean jumped directly into the role of Case Manager for the North West section of Vermont in May, 2014. As the Case Manager, Jean is one of the main lines of communication between the office staff and the clients in Chittenden County. She works with the schedulers and the Director of Nursing in the office to solve problems and address issues and then with the clients in the field to ensure these problems/issues have been resolved.
She has spent 30 years in a hospital setting, with the majority of her experience stemming for her work as a surgical nurse. Not only does Jean bring valuable hospital experience with her, but she has also worked as a community health nurse for roughly 10 years and this has allowed her to become a critical part of the TLC family. She thought it would be great to work for TLC because of her time at the Burlington VNA where she supervised care givers and provided nursing services.
Although Jean grew up in the Northeast Kingdom, Morgan, VT, she currently lives in Burlington where she is an antique dealer in her spare time. Aside from selling antiques on Ebay and working for TLC, she is also a busy grandmother of 6 granddaughters who are all under 7 years old.
Mohamed, who is the President, CEO and IT Person, founded TLC in 2006 because he could see that there was a dire need for a homecare provider who took a holistic approach in providing care and there was no other organization that offered supportive staffing services to local healthcare providers.
After numerous side jobs, such as working in the IT department of two small businesses, as a taxi driver on weekends, and a waiter/caterer during the summer, he decided to pursue a Nursing Degree from Castleton State College. While completing these odd jobs, Mohamed also graduated from high school at the age of 16 and received his first college degree when he was 17 years old.
Mohamed holds a Baccalaureate of Arts in Health Science and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Castleton State College and an Associate Degree in Liberal Studies from Community College of Vermont. During his time at school he was recognized with the following awards:
- Diane McNeil Scholarship, May 2006.
- Betty Hale Perrin Scholarship in Nursing, September 2005.
- Burlington Free Press’ Academic All Star, March 2002.
- President’s Awards for Educational Excellence, May 2002. (Awarded by President George W. Bush)
- Barbara Gauntlett Scholar, June 2002.
After moving from Chennai, India, as a young child, he lived in New York City and New Orleans for a year, but finally settled in Vermont, where he grew up in Burlington. When Mohamed is not hard at work running TLC, he can be found spending time with his wife, Allyson, and two children, Nina and Zane. He also enjoys long walks in the summer and riding his motorcycle enjoying the beauty that Vermont has to offer.
Mohamed is also a Board Certified Geriatric Care Manger and a member of Aging Life Care Professionals (ALCA), formerly National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Manger. Mohamed was recognized by Castelton University’s 2015 Convocation and was awarded Outstanding Young Alumni. In the fall of 2016, Vermont Business Magazine selected Mohamed as one of Vermont’s Rising Stars.
Wendy joined TLC in November of 2015 as the RN Case Manager in charge of overseeing Taft Farm in Williston and Pinecrest in Essex. As the Case Manager at these independent living facilities, she provides education, psycho-social nursing support, vital sign assessments, and acts as a liaison with the health care team members. Since then, Wendy has embraced many other roles at TLC. She teaches PCA classes, provides foot care to her clinic clients, is now a case manager of three independent living facilities, and started and currently leads two support groups for Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease in South Burlington. She also conducts weekly New Employee Orientation. This fall Wendy built TLC’s first state regulated LNA course and administers and co-teaches the six week class. She hopes to continue teaching at least three LNA courses a year.
Having previously been a VNA employee and Starr Farm charge nurse, Wendy brings incredibly valuable elder care experience with her to TLC. She has always had a desire to work with and support the elder community and TLC has been welcoming, family centered, and supportive in capitalizing her strengths.
As a busy nurse and mother, Wendy can often be also found chauffeuring her two children to soccer, community service events, and play practice. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for nearly 22 years, and turned down an opportunity to become a professional opera singer in order to pursue her passion in geriatric nursing.

Alan is from Vermont and his immediate family consists of his wife, his mother, and 2 younger sisters! He also has 7 nieces and nephews! When he returned home he studied at the University of Vermont School of Nursing where in 1975 he acquired a Baccalaureate in Nursing Science and in 1979 added a Masters in Education to his resume! Tim joined TLC in January of 2013 as the Vice President and Community Liaison. Being active in the community is a huge part of Tim’s responsibilities and he also ensures that he stays engaged with other organizations and their services, so he can better serve others to help them make educated decisions. Being an outgoing person, he has no issue stepping out into the forefront to share with everyone why he is so proud to be a part of TLC.
Having previously worked for RJ Reynolds, Lincare and GW Savage; Tim has always been involved in customer service, marketing and business development. After running a respiratory home care company, he spent 2 years in away and this made him realize how much he missed serving and advocating for the elder population.
Tim was born in Burlington and moved to Huntington, VT until his junior year of high school. His family then moved to South Burlington where Tim graduated from.
My name is Kelsey Warner. Before TLC Homecare and Nursing I had worked for other home care agencies but never heard such a positive reputation from an organization. Currently I am the Community Outreach and Sourcing Coordinator for TLC which means I work closely with Tim and Mohammed as well as other Core Team members in organizing events TLC is involved with, the marketing of our services, and work to find well qualified and passionate caregivers for members of the community who are in need of some extra help or companionship.
I have my Bachelors in Psychology from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT. I really enjoy meeting and connecting with people on a deeper level and finding out what they have to offer the world. I decided to join the TLC team because I wanted to have the opportunity to help those in my community that have worked their whole lives to make some sort of impact on society whether that impact was local or global!

He works closely with each member of TLC Nursing; ensuring they get plenty of companionship and exercise by getting them out of their chairs and on to their feet by routinely dropping stink bombs strategically around the office. He is also the TLC Nutritionist, as he will often make sure that each person eats only half to three quarters of the food they bring in for the day.
He was rescued at just 5 weeks and although he did have to endure the tough life of a shelter pup, he did survive numerous medical conditions and came out even stronger. Harley enjoys working with horses on the weekends, swimming in rivers and his orange toy fox that can be spotted in different parts of the office.
